Present Admission:
Mr. Dawson was admitted with fever, confusion, and dehydration secondary to urinary tract infection. He was treated with intravenous fluids and antibiotics (Ceftriaxone 1g IV daily for 5 days), followed by oral therapy (Cefuroxime 250 mg twice daily for 5 days). His condition has since stabilised.
Current Status:
• Afebrile and alert
• Oral intake adequate
• Blood glucose under control
• Mobilises with a walking stick
